Now, ever since I was 13 years old I've struggled with addiction…

I knew getting kicked out of high school would leave me with a few challenges in life…

But I didn't realize how hard it would be to survive as a heavily addicted person bouncing between crack houses, jail cells, and treatment centers for 15 straight years.

It only dawned on me how bad things were when I was 28 years old, 135 pounds, and had just spent 8 days locked in a room smoking crack cocaine.

Given the chaotic, self-destructive lifestyle I had, it shouldn't have been a big surprise.

The moment was a wake-up call — I had a spiritual awakening where God literally let me watch myself die in front of my family.

And when I thought about all the pain it would cause — my mother who'd already disowned me, the family that wouldn't let me celebrate holidays with them — I became terrified.

I checked myself into a treatment center in South Florida. Got clean. Stayed clean.

But when I got out at 28 years old with zero education, kicked out of the military with 4 DUIs, and blackballed from every union carpentry job in Chicago…

I found myself working as a busboy.

My first paycheck was $146 for two weeks of work.

I know this was humiliating, but in my head, I kept justifying it.

I was clean. I was alive. Plus, what else could I do?

I had no degree, no skills, and a haunting past that followed me everywhere…

Then I saw a white piece of paper hanging on my halfway house door that said “Telemarketers Wanted — $15/Hour”…

I didn't believe a piece of paper could change my life — I mean, I'd been failing at everything for 15 years, so how could a call center job help?

But then I walked into that building and got hired on the spot.

So I decided to take it seriously, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that commission-based sales rewarded the hardest worker — not the most credentialed.

I'd never heard the term “sales script” before, so just to be sure I could actually do this, I asked my manager…

I told him I could barely put a sentence together, that I had low self-esteem and zero phone skills.

After listening to me, he handed me a well-articulated script and said…

“If you master this, you can master the phones.”

He told me this script was perfect for me and that I should practice it until I could put my personality into it and make it my own.

And that's exactly what I did!

I was so happy it worked — within a year and a half I became the #1 closer in that entire company.

Not because I was the most skilled. Because I was the hungriest and hardest-working person who ever walked through that door.

The first thing I noticed was the fact that scripts saved my life.

In fact, after mastering that script, I realized I could finally control my future.

In the first year and a half I went from busboy to the top earner without a college degree or corporate experience.

Having regained control over my earning potential and having seen that something was finally working gave me a massive confidence boost.

I continued perfecting my sales process every single day, and my wife and I decided to start our own company.

She was 8 months pregnant. I had $10,000 in the bank. We started in our basement.

That company? Timeshare exit industry. Virtual sales. Scripts and systems.

I am feeling amazing just thinking about it — we scaled that company to over 150 W-2 employees doing $34 million a year.

We built it to a $100M+ valuation in 7.5 years.

We settled and exited that company for $6–7 million, and we started our brand again from scratch in 2021.

What's included in my Do Deals Live seat?
Two full days at Eric's Scottsdale office (June 13-14), live sales training Friday, live coached calls Saturday on a packet of real leads we pull for you the day before, catered breakfast and lunch both days, the Friday-evening group workout, and access to our buyer network and the 50/50 deal-split structure post-event.
Where exactly is the office?
Scottsdale, Arizona. We share the exact street address after your seat is confirmed and you've completed onboarding. PHX Sky Harbor airport is roughly 25 minutes from the office.
Travel & hotel logistics?
Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX). A short hotel-block list is shared after seat confirmation — all options are within a 10-minute drive of the office. Travel is on you; everything inside the room is on us.
Do I need wholesaling experience?
No. The room is intentionally a mix of first-timers and operators with a few deals under their belt. The DDL framework is built so a complete beginner can run it on day two.
How does the 50/50 split work?
When a deal you source through the event closes, our team helps you dispo it through our buyer network and the assignment fee splits 50/50 between you and Do Deals Live. Paperwork is set up in advance — you don't have to figure it out alone.
What if I don't close a deal at the event?
Most attendees walk out with at least one contract in their pipeline. If you don't, we stay in your corner post-event — calls, coaching, and the buyer network keep running until you land one.
What do I bring on day one?
Laptop, phone + charger, headset (for Saturday calls), pen + notebook. Casual dress. Workout clothes for Friday evening's group workout.
Refund policy?
Seats are non-refundable once confirmed, but transferable up to 14 days before the event. The seat-confirmation call is the right place to ask any final logistics questions before you commit.
